Apple announced an iPod FM Receiver and remote at Macworld San Francisco 2006, which allows users to tune to FM radio stations through an on-screen interface on the iPod. It is priced at $49 USD.

  • FM Radio for iPod
  • Radio Data System (RDS) support
  • RDS allows you to see song title/artist or radio station information in the iPod display. (if the station supports it)
  • When connected to iPod, "Radio" menu item appears in main menu list. Selecting "Radio" displays the on-screen radio.
  • Also functions as a remote
  • Includes earphones (a few inches shorter than standard Apple earphones)
