iPod
From Mac Guides
The iPod is a popular digital music player developed by Apple Computer and first released on October 23, 2001.
As stated by Steve Jobs at an Apple special event on September 12, 2006, the iPod has a 75.6% market share in the US, and has over 3000 accessories available. As of April 2007, 100 million iPods have been sold. [1]
Note: The number in parentheses denotes the generation, not the capacity. iPod capacities are typically written as "40 GB iPod", meaning 40 gigabyte iPod. The notation is particularly confusing for the shuffle, who's capacity is actually 1 GB (1 gigabyte) for some models.
