The original iPhone was announced on January 9, 2007 at Macworld San Francisco and released in the US on June 29, 2007 at 6 PM.
On September 5, 2007, Apple discontinued the 4 GB iPhone and dropped the price of the 8 GB model from $599 to $399. They subsequently offered a $100 store credit to earlier purchasers. [1] On February 5, 2008, Apple released a 16 GB iPhone at $499, £329 or €499.

The iPhone was released in the United States on June 29, 2007, and in the UK on the O2 network [2], in Germany on the T-Mobile network [3] on November 9, 2007 and in France with Orange on November 29, 2007. [4].
