ROKR E1 Phone

The Motorola ROKR E1 phone represented the first cellular phone which provided support for Apple's iTunes Music Store. Motorola licensed Apple's FairPlay digital rights manangement format to allow Protected iTunes songs to work on their newest phones. While Apple and Motorola announced the partnership in July 2004 to produce an iTunes-capable phone, the project was hindered with delays. The phone was finally released on Sept 7, 2005.
